What is Last Mile and how does it work?
This post of mine has reached you by visiting different countries through the internet. But, since you are using the internet through ISP, my post went to your ISP first; Then went to your computer from ISP.
The part of the cable between the ISP and your computer is called the last mile. Due to the weakness of this last mile, you can be a victim of hacking.
Everything coming to your computer from the Internet is from a very secure server, but your computer may have a lot of vulnerabilities.
So, in the last mile section, if a hacker makes a connection between you and the ISP, the hacker will be able to see what’s coming to your computer from the Internet.
Especially if you do something on the HTTP website instead of the HTTPS website, the hacker will be able to see your activities clearly.
Also, if the hacker unknowingly adds a passive TAP to the cable of the Wi-Fi router, then everything that comes to you from the internet will be copied to the hacker one by one.
So, always be aware that you are not in danger due to the weakness of the last mile. Thanks.
